I read it three times. It’s an amazing book.
It’s nice to notice how the story changed from the book to the screen or the theatre. Both stories are good, but I think some scenes that were left out from the movie and we can read on the book make this last one a bit more precious.

Good book… it made me look at the play differently. Erik’s a freaking psycho stalker, not nearly so romantic a figure as Michael Crawford.
This is a truly amazing novel. Some ‘phans’ who are highly obsessed with the music and/or other versions do not like it, because of the way Erik is portrayed in the novel.
It is a book you’ll want to read more than once. Not only because it is amazing, but because you learn something new everytime you read it.
I loved it! I am a totally obsessed Phantom phan! I have seen the show a before!I so recomend it!
this book is like…amazing. I’ve already read it 32 times. and i’ve read other books. yes, i’ve been obsessed for a long time.
This is such a good book - one of my long-time favorites. I’ve read it many times - definitely worth doing!
Sad to say, I’ve never actually seen Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom. (I feel like I’m missing out.) Not on the stage, not on the screen. BUT, I have read the original novel, and it was FANTASTIC! The characters are portrayed very well, and Gaston Leroux writes vividly—the torture chamber is EVIL. The dialogs are amusing, and you really do grow to both hate and care for the Phantom. You can see why Christine is so torn. The only drawback is that I’m not sure that the ending is really believable insofar as the Phantom’s actions, but that’s about it.
