It was a fun winter heading up to the slopes each week with a bunch of friends to learn snowboarding. I’m definitely not a snowboarding chick – I don’t see myself doing it much in the future but it was fun to do and good to challenge myself.
Had a 2 hour snowboarding lesson whilst in Switzerland in an attempt to spend less time on my arse and more time on my board. Managed to tackle an intermediate run by the end of the day, but I still have a long way to go. Was having issues with which way to stand on the board too, which was making things more difficult. Hopefully Europe will see a bit more snow this winter so I can squeeze in a bit more practice.
sort77 there is only now
Unless you’ve grown up skateboarding Skiing is much easier. i only snowboard now but the only thing that got back for a second day is seeing a 10 year old whizz past me on the mountain as I lay on my ass for the hundredth time.
Hopefully will get a chance this winter whilst in Europe. But I fear it will rather break my budget so I won’t get too much practice in. Will have to ski when I go back home, as we do get snow in Australia. It’s amazing how many people think I must have never seen snow before because I come from Aus.
would like to ski everyday ..last winter I went to ski to San martino di castrozza ... and would like to do it again … but snow there is only in winter..
Next year I think to go to Ponte di Legno that is in Lombardia … near Brescia …
