Dashi
Miso Soup
Miso Itame with Pork and Vegetables (Stir Fry with Miso Sauce)
Soba Noodles with Mushrooms
Sunomono – Cucumber, Seaweed, and Shrimp Salad
It was yummy, fun, and I learned tons.

Well, I can make an omlette so good its nearly orgasmic. And since I dont just have extra cash to be trying stuff (or even just to eat for that matter sometimes), I’m saying I’ve completed this…or a fraction of…
My boyfriend, God sister, and I decided we wanted to make stir fry last night. It’s not really that difficult, but I still had no earthly idea how to go about doing it. I watched my boyfriend and my God sister most of the time, and I think I could do it by myself next time. It’s not amazing, but hey- It’s something. Better than cereal!
Zarathustra is hoping it all works out.
I’ve technically “cooked” since I was a kid. Y’know baking things, making eggs… But all my food always comes out tasting just edible. No flavor, no goodness. I try to add flavor and goodness with salt, pepper, paprika…but all those do is make my food taste flavorfully awful. A month ago I made…no tried to make a tuna salad and it came out tasting like it was spoiled! I used fresh ingredients and everything. Maybe it was all the garlic powder I added.
Anyway, I’m currently looking for some cooking classes that’ll help me with this problem. I really should stop spending so much money on eating out and learn how to make some good home-cooked meals.

I started looking for classes today, which oddly enough brought me to this site. Nothing yet to register for, but I’ll keep looking.
