Just because I never submitted an entry doesn’t mean that I’m neglecting this one.
Zucchine by now are not in season, yet I found some decent zucchine romane yesterday and I cooked a large frittata for my friends. Since I had no plate big enough to turn it upside down, I let it cook very slowly on the stove, and then put it for 5 minutes in the oven (grill mode) to let the surface brown.
I know, frittata purists will shudder (I used to), but the result was good enough for a first time.
PS Come to think of it, I added this goal also because the word zucchini (and linguini and such) is one of my biggest pet peeves about English. Italians may pronounce English atrociously enough, but at least, if we import a word, we try to do it correctly!
