Todd, you’re the person who started this whole thing. I’ve been very happy with being ‘under the radar’ here at 43T, using the site as a place to record “To Do” and “Done” lists, and not getting socially involved. You called me out, and I’m forever grateful.

Gary, you fascinate me. From your 1000 cranes to your vows of silence, and many others, you are among us 43T old-timers here who use the site hard! Thank you!

birthday greetings LLong. Hope you had a pleasant birthday and wishing you all the very best for the future.

Has it really been a year since I created this goal for this special 43er? It’s amazing how fast and slow time goes. LLong has accomplished so many things during this past year, while at the same time progress for others has seemed to stall. That’s the natural ebb and flow of things though as interests change while desire still remains. My admiration for him hasn’t changed though, and I look forward to watching his progress for years to come. Here are my wishes for him for the coming year:

May he find the time and inspiration to work on his writing, whether it be memoirs, a book or his autobiography. May he put in the time to practice (possibly using interval sprints) so that he can meet his goal of completing a 10K within 45 minutes. And may he find the focus he needs to work on his goals without letting time distractions like the net get in the way.
