How to replace the drywall and ceiling in my bedroom.

How I did it: I thought I'd do this myself, but I didn't. Quite glad of it, really, as it's horribly messy. We had someone cover the ceiling with new drywall, the thinnest we could get, and left the walls textured. I did do the painting myself, using an eco-friendly low-VOC paint, which makes the whole experience of painting in a tight room much nicer.
Resources: Santa remodelled my room! No, really..the guy who did the work is a Santa-for-hire. Since no one really wants a Santa impersonator ten months of the year, he runs a handyman business on the side. Did I mention he always dresses in red and green and has a full Santa-beard? It could only be better if he got a Great Dane or something to wear some antlers and go around with him.
