Volunteer with the Burgundy Crescent Volunteer group, at least 3 times.

I am positive about the new presidency, but I’m crashing a little due to all the anti-gay legislation that was passed. So now I can’t get married nearly anywhere, or adopt in some states. I will have to focus on this goal, working within my community to not feel so alone, and join others to make things right. Prove that queer individuals can do more than offer a bad environment to young people by helping our city.

(I’ll stop talking about government and get back to art soon, I promise. It’s coming.)

Burgundy Crescent is an organization for LGBT people in the DC Metro area to come together and work within the community.

I love the services they decide to take on, I love that they have new goals to do green things, and I love that I might be able to meet new queer-friendly people.

I’m anxious because I’m not great around new people—but since I enjoy volunteering in every way, it should be a lot of fun.
