whoo, I did it 3 months ago

I did this a few months ago when I was in Australia, and I absolutely love it! It’s taking quite a while to heal completely, but it’s not painful at all and as long as I don’t hit my ear I’m fine :P

Conch piercing 7 months ago

i really want to get my conch/helix industrial pierced but i’m not quite sure. i keep thinking about it and i’m pretty positive i’m going to get it done. I only have my lobs pierced and I have heard the pain varies among people. I was also thinking about getting an industrial but the cartilage in my ear is thin so my ear would probably hang funny. haha :D Anywho, I think i’m going to get my conch pierced, yep, hopefully in a few weeks or days. I will let you know how it went.

just decided i’m getting it 2morrow

getting my conch pierced 10 months ago

i only decided i wanted to get my conch pierced in a few weeks. i just wanted something different, that i hadnt seen many people with. once i heard about it, i wanted to do it straight away, but didnt have any money :( i finally went, and when i told the piercer where i wanted my ear pierced, he looked slightly shocked, and went, “okaaayy…” which of course scared me even more. nice. when i got in the chair, he did this reeeeaallly long speach about how everything what completely safe, and everything was steralised, etc, etc,. he drew on where it would go, and asked me if that was ok, and i just said yes… i didnt want to drag it out :P i layed down on the bed thing and he told me to relax, he didnt even say when he was going to do it, so it definately took me by surprise! it hurt soo much, even afterwards, but only for about 10 mins. now a week and a half later, it only hurts when i hit it, which is a lot easier than it sounds! it was sooo definately worth doing :D

i got mine done a year ago. It finally healed when i went to Warped Tour last year, and someone kicked me in the ear. it bled really bad, but that seemed to helped it and the keloid went away. i got my tragus pierced and now that has a keloid :/. i guess my ears are just keloid prone

i dont think it 15 months ago

hurts at all! ive had both tragus, my nips, upper cartilage and twice in the navel and today my conch-the conch was a little pinch—then no pain. its now hours later and i cant even feel it. its all about your state of mind! i want to go back tomorrow and get the other side done. no piercing hurts more than the nipples!!

I got mine done last summer & still love it. My only recommendation to others doing this is not to sleep on that ear for a while. If I hadn’t slept on my piercing almost every night, it probably wouldn’t have taken a YEAR for it to heal.

Pierced, retired, and punched 19 months ago

So back in 2002 I got my conchs pierced. It hurt, like a bitch. Probably the most painful piercing I’ve ever had done. Unfortunately my ears were not well suited for the piercings or the jewelry I demanded on wearing in them and after three years and stretching them from a 14g to an 8g, I retired them.

I had always planned on having them redone once they were healed and I had given myself ample time to take care of the scar tissue left behind.

Fast forward to this past Saturday, April 26th, 2008. I went with my friend to get her septum pierced and I had been itching to get something, ANYTHING done lately. After talking with my piercer the previous day he had decided I should punch my conchs, although I was a little hesitant (that’s a thick ass piece of ear!) he gently persuaded me, saying that if I didn’t do it today, I’d just want to do it next week and he was in the mood to do it now, so that was that.

And so I did, and it was good.

The right ear went, as he put it, as “smooth as butter”, minor bleeding, nothing to write home about. The left ear hurt a bit more, but again, it was pretty easy, nothing compared to getting them pierced.

Per ritual, I ate the biopsied cylinders of cartilage and then went on my merry way, very happy with my new 4g conchs.

My only regret? That I couldn’t go any larger due to my anatomy (I would have liked to go to a 0g). Oh well, they still look sweet.

pain 22 months ago

this was the most painful peircing i have ever goten between my tragus , industrial, and belly botton… it hurt way more then my industrail and it kills if i hit it at all but i just got it done yesteday..however i do love it.
