be engaged

I’ve been engaged twice. I broke off my first engagement and I wished I kept that break off. Instead, we got married and then divorce 5 yrs later.

Most of my engagement in my 2nd marriage was spent apart as we lived in different states.

We’re going to have a long engagement, since we’re in no rush to get married. But I always figured I’d just KNOW when I found the person I want to marry, and I know I have. We’re planning a quite unconventional wedding out in the woods to celebrate our life together.

I’m want to have an engagement party, wear a huge rock and tell everyone about my wonderful, handsome fiance…not so sure if I actually want to get married though!!

Someday I hope I will become engaged. I have a great boyfriend and we are very happy as we are. We are young and have no need to rush. But I think the feeling of someone you love asking you to spend the rest of their life with them must be the most amazing thing ever!

I have finally done it! I feel like Frankenstein standing over his greatest creation. In my case, its having a great relationship with a great man. Now I want to elevate this shining achievement by getting a proposal in 2008. We have been dating for almost a year so I can wait until the conclusion of 2008. He has been saying things like, “when we were married”, “I want my kids to go to that school”, “we should do that next year”, etc. He is so wonderful, and I can’t wait to share the rest of my life with him. awwwww!

I know I’m a little young to be engaged (17) but, I still think this is something worth doing. Yeah you can be in love and not want to take the next step toward marriage and that’s fine but, that’s not for me. I love my Lance Corporal and I can’t wait to marry him <3
