still no soda so yay but i did have a dream about soda so that’s kinda sad haha
How I did it: I noticed changes in my body. I was weaker, hardly had energy and was becoming dependent on caffeine. Mostly, what did it was my weight gain. I started to get really visible cellulite on my legs and took to drinking lots of water, and cutting out as much artificial and empty calories as I could stand (soda included). I've always been kind of a health freak, and have been looking at labels for years. This basically prepared me to become independent from forming any "addiction" to soda or caffeine. In that way, I've always been able to resist soda, and actually prefer water or %100 fruit juices. Taking carbonated caffeine soft drinks out of my diet has never been a problem for me.
Lessons & tips: Just knowing what soda does to your body is a great way to psychologically motivate yourself to stop drinking it. Also, I have always been able to notice the difference between water and any other drink. Water is not heavy, and feels like it offers more energy especially during rigorous activities. When I drink soda, I get tired so easily doing anything. I also feel full and bloated.
Resources: Just researching the effects and benefits of cutting out the habit of drinking carbonated caffeine soft drinks, and not just for a week, was the most helpful motivating tool for me.

yesterday was my first day without soda and i was doing really well until 10 pm when i reached for the soda. i can’t decide whether or not i’ll drink soda today…
I only lasted one day without drinking caffienated softdrinks. I had an engagement party lunch to go to on the weekend and there wasn’t really any other choice of what to drink.
Coke is far too tasty to go without for a whole week.
Deni H is juggling a lot of balls right now.
for almost 16 weeks now. But, you know what? I don’t ever plan to go back to drinking soft drinks. At this point, I’m not a soft drink drinker anymore…caffeine or otherwise! :D
Well this was surprisingly easy because I don’t actually drink all that much caffeinated soft drink! I drink lemon lime and bitters it seems. So this goal was achieved without any fanfare. How boring!
Yea….I stop drinking carbonated caffeine drinks for a while now….hahaha…and if I do want to drink a Diet Coke…I stop myself before is too late and get Mentos…and have fun!...lol
I’ll stick to water…
...and I’m craving Diet Pepsi. I don’t see any health benefits at all either. Maybe I should give in and just have a bottle. Or maybe I’ll give it a little while longer. Will I last?
