Short, but sweet. Beach, cherry tequilla, snorkeling, Mexican food and sunshine, teaching bf how to swim, tan and sand in my hair, new pearl necklace and wild turtles, crabs, first tiny exchanges en Español, fish brushing my skin in the water as they were all curious about my legs in their territory, starlight and tropical rain storm, frogs and amazing bird calls, burgers on the beach and 4 margaritas a day, coconut palms and, unfortunately also Montezuma’s revenge. All in all, more plusses than minusses and well worth a trip: Yucatan peninsula. Loved it.

The first thing I bought was my trolley suitcase. Then I went from shop to shop and filled it with the following goodies:
Three dresses (and they are perfect: one for the beach, the one in the picture (turquoise instead of red) for a dressy night out and one thats in betweenish), flip flops, white high heels for a night out on the town, a bikini, a little whoolen jacket to throw over my shoulders (like I’ll need one!!!), a golden nail polish for my toes, a funny t-shirt from Kiss Therapy (because it made me smile) and a square scarf with tassles on two corners from H&M.
I still need sun block, maybe some new linnen pants and a proper hairdo and hair colour.
- Need to make hairdresser appointment for Thursday evening.
- Need to go to tanning salon twice before we go to get the pigments moving to the upper layer of my skin, otherwise I might burn to a crisp.
Today, we’ll be shopping for shorts for bf and trunks and a nice new tee and everything else we’ll need.
Tomorrow I can pick up my dress. They needed to shorten the straps, my tits were flying all over the place.
Did I mention that we booked last night? Sandos Caracol Beach Resort in Playa del Carmen it is. We can walk down the beach 5km into town, or stay in the resort (6 restaurants, 9 bars).
The goal is to stay in a happy state of constant slight intoxication for the period there.
By this time next week, we’ll be on the plane.

A decadent All-Inclusive 9 days in the tropical sun!
One resort in Mexico (Playa del Carmen), where we’ve been 4 years ago, has caught our eye.
But we are hoping the price will drop a bit after Saturday.
If the last-minute offer is gone by then, I am sure we can still book something similar either in Playa, on Cuba or Natal, Brazil. We know it’s the rainy season, but we don’t care. We’ll take our chance with the weatehr. All I want is to sit at a swimming pool bar and go “Una mas, por favor!”...
So this afternoon, I will buy a new suitcase, and other things on the list are a dress, flip-flops, a bikini and some sexy underwear…
