we finally finished last night with my son’s bedroom! yay!
How to paint all three bedrooms
How I did it: I looked at magazines, catalogues, and on the internet for inspiration and then decided how I wanted to do each room with the clippings and picture files I'd saved. Then I went to the store to buy the paint. I had to go back and have them adjust the shades a couple of times. Then we washed the walls and patched up the holes before taping off the edges. We painted two coats. Took off the tape the next day, retaped so we could paint the baseboards white, then we took off the tape the day after that. All done!
Lessons & tips: Have a good playlist to keep you from getting bored. Having company makes the job go faster and gives you someone to talk to, too.
Resources: Home Depot for most of the supplies and paint.

I had the baby a couple weeks before the due date, but my husband very kindly finished painting the trim in her room. She’s not in there yet, though. She won’t be for a while yet, since she’s still so little. But we’re almost done! Now we just have to paint my son’s room and get the molding (moulding?) in the master bedroom. I have yet to decide if I really want to try tackling the master bath right now.
I really wanted to check this one off before the baby was born so we didn’t have to worry about that stuff for a while till she’s older. I hope we can still make it! I have about 2 weeks left till the due date but it could be any day now. We’ve almost finished painting the baby’s room, tho. Just have to get the base boards and the doors cause we already finished the walls and ceiling!
We painted our bedroom! Hooray. Check one off the list… and I bought the paint for the baby girl’s bedroom (we’d better think of a name quickly… only 3 1/2 weeks left till D-day!) and had the tint of the paint for our son’s room tweaked a little. So we’re ready to go there, I just have to wait for my husband and my sister to get some spare time.
We bought paint for our bedroom and for our son’s bedroom… and once I figure out what’s going on with the baby’s bedroom, we’ll buy the paint for her room as well (hopefully before she’s actually born…).
And my youngest sister is coming out to stay with us for about a month and a half and she wants to help paint! Sweet. Making progress.
