My husband took me to mexico city for valentines day this year, he knew seeing/climbing the pyramid of the sun was one of my biggest dreams. The view from the top was unbelievable, we sat there for over an hour, both lost in though. It was definately an easier climb up than it was down. My fear of heights quickly overcame me, and I held on to my husbands back, only looking down at my feet on the way down, and climbing down only sideways…which was not a good idea. We made it halfway down before the muscle spasms started in my thighs and calves. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY.

this was definitely an incredible experience. i got there at around 9am before the crowds of tourists so i pretty much had the pyramid to myself except for about 3 other people. the climb was easier than i expected and the view was amazing. this was definitely worth doing
Last summer when I went to Mexico I tentatively navigated the mean streets of Mexico City and Guadalajara (with my Spanish class) both without incident. I traveled through mountains by bus, and got lost at the airport. But the one time I thought that I might actually die was when I climbed the Pyramid of the Sun. I was very out of shape and forgot my asthma inhaler so about half way up I was holding on the rail for dear life while annoyed little old ladies passed me up. I finally did make it to the top and it was very gratifying and a favorite achievement of mine.
