    6 was too many! 5 months ago
    I need to be real, some of these “areas” are pretty big. So I’m going to try focusing on three. I’ve also re-tagged (again!) because I realized that I was using the “self care” tag for almost everything. Because, really, every single one of my goals will end up making me feel/be better eventually, which is why they’re my goals! And, in the interest of being real, I’m going to focus on the top three that I’m already focusing on, instead of trying to make myself focus on the ones I think I “should.” Those would be:

    The last one is a goal, not a tag, but it is the meta-goal for so many tags and goals . . . and realistically, it’s what I’m working on now. This is rather sloppy and loose, but so far it’s helped me prioritize, so it’s working this way.

    Friends (old, new, and potential)
    Family (Parents, sibs, puppies)
    Home (I mean my actual physical home)
    Financial
    Professional
    Self-Care

    Future areas of focus:
    Civic
    Marriage
    Anything else I think of and realize I forgot.

    Now for more purging/redefining/retagging.

    Oh no, I forgot my friends! 7 months ago

    Story of my life . . . I’m just terrible at juggling. How I handle my friendships is definitely an area where I’d like to make changes. My long-term intense friendships, my online friendships, my brand-new baby friendships, my casual but lasting friendships. . . .

    On a related note – you guys are da bomb. I can’t believe I came back after all these months and posted some piddling, scattered entries . . . and then logged on today to all these cheers! I feel so welcomed, and yet so overwhelmed. I’m remembering why I love 43T so much, but have to take a break from it sometimes, but miss it so much when I’m away.

    That comes to 8 things, so I need to choose two to defer. Civic can wait – I have some Chicago-related goals that I’m not really working on anyway. And the marriage is going pretty well right now, and I’m not feeling the need to make changes in that area. Although that overlaps with some of the other goals, but that’s okay.

    So . . . time to re-tag.

    A new tagging scheme (again) 7 months ago

    My new project is to identify domains of my life where I would like to make changes, and have goals that reflect the changes I want to make. Here’s what I’ve thought of so far:

    Mental Health

    Hmmmm . . . I need more.

    edit: I don’t like separating bodily health from mental health. It’s all about my well-being, and making changes in that area all comes down to self care. So that’s going to replace those two areas.
