I got up last night and did a few songs at Karoake. I know, no where near what I meant as far as this goal is concerned, but the only reason I mention it is because the songs I sang were really really well recieived. I mean, everybody went nuts for me while I was singing. There were even a couple of girls there taking pictures of me whic I thought was great. I really love the songs I chose to do, and I put all of myself into singing them, and it was a lot of fun, but it really got me thinking about how it could go if i could actually get a friggin band together and do this stuff regualrly. I know people like my originals, and I really put my heart into performing them when I do, but man last night just made me think about hw much more I should be doing and how frustrating it is that I’m not….

Not enough songs to fill a whole night, but I ought to be able to at least open for someone and do a full set.

It was wonderful. I’m glad I did some openers before getting my own show, it showed me how to take care of nerves and interact with the audience. Definitely will be doing it again…

People were into it, singing along. Everyone seemed to be having fun. No one seemed to notice when I messed up on a line and improvised with an impromptu dance number.
The show really motivated myself to work on more songs and complete my album.

Somehow I found my way into a show, despite having only two songs recorded. The main band heard my Mister T song, and asked me to play during their show. My main goal is well one, to entertain, but to also hopefully find some contacts. I have plenty of songs written, I just don’t have the current means to add music to any of them.
I might try and organize some back up dancers, and if I can get my hands on some confetti I will be a happy man. Regardless, glitter, sequins and flash will be a plenty, along with some fancy dancing.

Gets your adrenaline going.. however.. If you make one little mistake, afterwards, you’re all paranoid ‘cause you’re sure everybody heard it.. Sorry for bursting anybody’s bubble if they had a different thought – but that was certainly my experience, and it’s best if you prepare for the worst now.
But y’know – play your heart, your soul, your pulse – and it’ll go as smoothly as a baby’s bottom _
