improve my drawing skills

I want to improve my drawing skills, so I can get my complex ideas and twisted humor out in a comic strip, so people can enjoy it as well.

I’m marking this as complete because I’v realised I will never be completely satisfied with my drawing skills, but I do believe I have made some improvement since I added this goal to my list.

Not one of my best, but still worth recording here.

and although it is not totally necessary for me to be good at drawing, it would certainly make things easier! I get ideas in my head for how things should look but i am hopeless at sketching them… i have to just go use photoshop or my scrapbooking supplies in order to get my ideas across.

can you really teach yourself to draw or is it something your just born with? hmmm

I decided that I want to be an artist….okay so I know that is BROAD, that being, because I don’t know what I want to do with it ^__” like whether I want to go into animation, or illstrator, or even work in graphic design or even web development, but I do like to draw the human form, so something revolved around that. But what ever it may be there is a need to improve my skills in the arts not only in skills with the hand but also the mind, I want to be able to think like an artist. but like a famous artist said, (whom I neglected to remember) said “a line a day” so it all starts with improving my skills and finding that “high” when I set the pencil down on the paper :).

I drew this picture for my mum for xmas. (she loves cats!) I know it’s now the new year but I am going to be visiting mum in a month’s time and thought I would rather give it to her in person.

I’m going to try and start some sort of drawing regimen. I’m shooting for 2 hours a day.

I LOVE to draw, and as an artist I really want to improve.

I have joined an art class that runs for the next 10 weeks to help with this goal.

is something i’ve wanted to work on for a long, long time. i have always been drawing a lot, but the last years this has occured more and more seldom.
i need a change!
to lay down this decision i will draw something right now and make an entry of it later.
