reunite with an old friend

Thanks to Facebook.com I have been able to re-connect with several old friends and acquaintances from high school. I have met up with a few and it has been a great experience. What a great tool.

I did this yesterday. I met up with my friend at the mall and had lunch and went shopping. I wish she didn’t live so far away or we would hang out all the time. Even though it had been seven years, it felt like no time had passed

One of my very best friends from elementary school who I haven’t seen in over 7 years is in town this week and we are hanging out tomorrow. We’ve been in touch for the last year or so from Facebook. I can’t wait to see her!

It was under poor cicumstances that i want back to the tri cities but I saw my child hood best friend who I havent seen in 10 years. I was also lucky enough to see other friends that I had lost cotact with. Now the trick is to stay in touch.

I must say, I’ve had a very wonderful day today.

After visiting the Harbourfront Centre (for those of you in Toronto, go see the Power Plant! OMG Amazing!) for a Visual Arts Gallery Exhibit, I met up with an old friend from college years. Well, sort of. She was roommates with my (now) best friend from college, and we bonded pretty well on days when Scott, my friend, had to go out and do stuff, since that apartment became my second home. Since then, they’ve both moved to new places, but I’ve kept in touch with her. We went for Bellini’s at Milestones, and then up to a Thai place called East, on Queen, just across from the Chum City TV building. Lychee martini and Pad Thai, mmmmmm!!

But it was nice to see her. She was going to an Opera tonight, and I was only coming home to do homework (bleh) But we both had two hours to spend together, so it was a very entertaining evening.

Tried to leave on time yesterday and Kevin the Customer Service Operations Manager stopped me dead in my tracks… wouldn’t let me leave 2 people in charge. Said I had to stay and oversea everthing. Made me feel good but I sure was tired. Oh well…

Chatted online with Cammi, she is an old friend from Mebane. She has had another child and is doing well. Missing the old days sometimes, ya know…

I am thinking of one in particular. An old friend sent me an email to an old email address. I have had it for like 7 years and check just enough so that it is not closed. And when I checked it there it was. An email from my ex-best friend. I have certainly grown up since we last spoke and would like for her to be part of my life again. So, wish me luck…
