sTIFFed gives Gran Torino two thumbs up!
I know how to cook the common dishes of most cultures, but I want to learn how to cook/bake stuff that is great-tasting, but also healthy. Most of my hygiene products are even organic, but not all of what goes into my stomach.
I am a huge fan of John & Kate, and Sara Snow appeared on their show. She showed Kate how to make several organic dishes. And after ten minutes, I’m determined…

I’d also like to use other organic products, like shampoo, lotion, etc.

Lynnaii should stop procrastinating
is really into organic foods and green living so there’s a kind of “peer pressure” where I would like to follow her example. I already try to eat organically but I guess I’ll monitor my eating habits more now. :)
Yay?
She often invites me to Trader Joe’s so that’s a good thing! :D

Trader Joe’s is such a wonderful supermarket. It has such affordable organic produce!!! Makes me happy because I can now eat healthier without completely deflating my wallet! Wonderful!
I hear Whole Foods is also good – perhaps I shall visit one soon.

I do buy organic as much as I can. My local farmer’s market is only open from May-December, so I am kind of limping along right now. But it will get better soon!

There is a farmer’s market down the street from us, at a local nursery, every Saturday and Sunday. I’ve been two weekends in a row now, and it is small, but it seems they have different things each weekend. I’ve bought apples, onions and tomatoes, and they’re all wonderful! It’s not necessarily organic, but at least it’s local!!

We have found a great organic supermarket where we buy our fresh produce, dairy, bread and rolls, meat and a very tasty lemonade. We keep trying out new products from there, from soy sauce to potato chips and fruit yoghurt :-)
We shop there as much as we can afford it, and so I guess this is done :-)

My girlfriend and I have been making it a point to buy as many organic foods as possible. From vegetables to milk and eggs. We plan to continue to do this, because, not only is it better for us, but it’s better for the animals and the environment.
I won’t lie though, I still eat like crap from time to time, but I’m eating more organic foods and that’s the goal.
