learn more about Hinduism

hate this sometimes..when people talk about religion..and wonders why i don’t ‘add’ things, or say something, about christianity. People just suggest, or expect that im a chrisitan. When i tell people..they find it hard to believe..and make me feel much more worse then i felt before. I’m not racist, and i accept all religions..its just funny, how others cant accept me, for me..
If you’re wondering, I’m white, born in Australia, have NO history of any Indian…uumm…”impressions”
I love the People, culture, and food of India. I’ve had a few Indian friends, and they have believed me all the way, and talk and keep in touch with me often. It just makes me feel SO annoyed that no one will believe me..I am not “wanting” a “thumbs up” from people, just not to ask idiotic questions, and say, “but you’re not Indian!” or “You’re White!”. Some people are just so stupid, that I doubt they will…uuummm trust me…(if you know what i mean)
There are 3 people, including me on this “thing” but when people come to my profile, or find me, somehow, i hope they read this.

As I’ve learned this is a very interesting, but often misunderstood, religion.

Not in the Hare Krishna way, I don’t want to give up my worldly life and join their dancing sect. I’m much more interested in Hinduism the Emerson way, the all-inclusive, everything-fits-in-our-religion way. Also, I think it’s easier to embrace Hindu philosophy without having to rework your whole life, but then, since I don’t know enough about Hinduism or Buddhism to make that call, that’s really an assumption.
