Have a Fun Fun Fun Summer with my little man!

Hudson and I had a lot of fun together this summer. We did all sorts of fun things. From the zoo, to the park, to the beach, to boating… the list goes on and on. We had fun. Too bad school had to start today and bring our summer to an abrupt halt. But it was really fun! Now Hudson and I will just have to have a FUN FUN FUN post-summer, pre-fall. :)

Earlier this week Hudson went boating for the very first time. He LOVED it! He is a water freak. He wanted to jump out of the boat into the water constantly. He’s so cute! I hadn’t been boating in years. But seeing that things are sort of patched up with my dad, I get to go this year. Good year to patch up seeing that he had just bought a brand new boat this spring. It was so nice to be on the lake. I finally got to waterski. :) I love water skiing, I have missed it. The downside to all of this… the PAIN! I forgot what a workout skiing and such is. Every single muscle in my body has ached for days!!
It was fun. Fun Fun Fun!!

Hudson is a Swimming FREAK!! Oh my gosh he loves it! We have been swimming at least a couple times a week all summer. Hudson just can’t get enough. He splashes, he kicks, he slides, he runs, he dunks… he just has the absolute time of his life!

Hudson loves, loves, loves nature and being outside. Since he was about 4 months old he has been fascinated with trees. So this summer we have been spending alot of time at the park. It is great. I can sit down and read a book while he just runs and explores to his little hears content. We both have a fabulous time!

Hudson likes to play with the wood chips. More often than not, he likes to try to eat the wood chips… and rocks. But he has had fun at the playground. He enjoys the slides and climbing and running!

My last day in LA last month, we took Hudson to a beach in Malibu. Hudson is not the biggest fan of waves. The sound of them scares him to death. But once he caught on that it is just water he had a better time. He really enjoyed the sand.

This was a good idea in theory. Hudson liked the zoo, why not take him to the underwater zoo. But this one was not a huge hit. He had a hard time staying interested. He enjoyed petting and touching the starfish and anemones, but that was about it. Oh, he did enjoy the seal exhibit as well.

We went to the zoo on my birthday. I love the zoo! I was happy to discover that Hudson likes it too. He liked the penguins and warthog and the monkeys. Personally I prefer the elephants and the bears. This is a photo of us outside of the monkey cage.

We went to our local amusement park with a friend of mine and her son. I was shocked at how much Hudson enjoyed himself. He loved the rides (most of them, the little kids roller coaster made him vomit… a lot), he loved being around lots of people, he just had a very fun time! We will probably go again before the summer is through.
