Acknowledge Summer Solstice

i sat in the community garden near my place and read and talked to one of my new gardening friends and her son… and we talked of the solstice and of midsummer and when that is…

and all the while everything was greenly growing around us, lush and full of birdchirps.

i stayed out until the mosquitos drove me home.

The longest day of the year today, 20.06.2008 at 23.59pm… Everything is alive and grown, trees and flowers full in bloom. Spring has passed and nature’s abundance is all around to see and partake of. The earth is gracious and genorous with her bounty, so should we be too. This is a time of growth, a time to look at what we have achieved and who we have become. This is a time of light but it is also a time when days will become shorter once again, something we must accept as part of the constant change in the cycle of life… Happy Summer Solstice everyone, bathe in the rays off the sun, let it shine brightly upon you and bring light and transformation into your life…
