How I did it: The first time was a spur of the moment sort of thing. But after doing it I felt so good I decided to grow my hair out again just for this purpose. So far I've donated three times.

    I donated my hair awhile back. I had it down to my waist and cut it up to my shoulders. 11 1/2 inches.

    I thought that I had been blessed with so much hair—all that would grow back soon enough…but I knew there were other people who can’t grow there hair for certain reasons.
    It felt wonderful to know that I was helping someone!

    I did it!!!! 3 years ago

    I went Friday and had 13 1/2 inches cut off!! It was awesome. Anybody wanting to do this find a hairstylist that you like and trust and tell her to use her/his own discretion. I showed mine a picture of the general idea, and she nailed it.
    I dedicate the accomplishment of this goal to “Highway”. Maybe it sounds silly, but she was mine and my husband’s first pet together, and she died last Sunday.
    To anyone wanting to do this, it is SO worth it.

    I had my hair mesured yesterday, and made an appointment for November 10th!!!! I am a little nervous, I have gotten used to my long hair. I will be sure to take before and after pictures. It took 2 1/2 years to get here, I had always kept my hair short. Will be strange to see myself the way I used to look.

    My hair is about 8 1/2 inches when braided. Going for a ten inch braid. Probably about 3 more months. Looking for a cute, short,short style.
