Katrina Goering is adventuring in Chicago.
I was actually putting off reading by logging on to 43things today. Huh. Go figure.

Shakespeare's Girlfriend is excited to see what happens to her in 2009!
It’s so good!! I can’t believe I waited so long to read these books.
I love the movies and I hear the books are even better. I intend to make a real fan of myself and read all about Frodo and his adventures.
i think that i loaned it out to someone, but i can’t remember who.

Some parts are a bit slow, but there are parts which gripped me more strongly than any other novel I have ever read! Which is saying something.
Adrienne did not enjoy the ending of Torchwood this week
I had tried to read these in late elementary school, but never got through some of the more boring parts (one of which was left out of the movies as well, which tells you something.)
However, when I heard the movies were being made by Peter Jackson, I started reading the books in preparation to seeing the movies. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy as a genre, so it was not difficult to get into these. I’m glad I read them because if you like sci fi/fantasy, I think they are must-reads.
I would recomment that, if at all possible, you read the books before you see the movies. I’ve read the LOTR trilogy several times since I was a teenager, and I love the stories every time.
