How to get married one day

How I did it: Met a girl when I was 10. Moved to separate parts of the world when we were 14. Met up again when we were 20. Started dating when we were 23 and were engaged at 24. Got married at 25.

um… still not dating anyone. But, God has a plan. In the mean time, I’m working on myself to continue maturing.

I think marriage should be allowed to everyone. Love should be legal.
I believe that love can be made sustainable and it can flourish from within a relationship and expand out to really feed the world. I’d love to be in the position one day where I can whole-heartedly give myself to another. And not from a place of fear (like bagging someone and saying, “now you’re mine!!!”), but from a place of real commitment and respect.

I can’t really think of this as a goal. It should just happen or not happen and either way is fine.

but i don’t want to settle…i’m afraid that could happen. i need to learn what i really want, what makes me real happy, figure out how i can make someone else real happy and how we can make God happy together…so much to learn. tired.

It’s not that I don’t still want to get married (someday), but I need to make room on my list for other things that I see in my more immediate future, and I already have “find true love.” Plus, who knows, I could be doin the whole Angelina Jolie thing 10 years down the road…
We’ll see.
