Lately, I looked back at my work, and I’m not happy. I decided to take a break from it and revisit my set goal…

I’ve been creating alot of images… but when it comes to ACTUALLY successfully creating personal faves, they’ve been rather slow… a handful of pieces that I felt can get me started on my freelance work. Still, I’m trying to aim at about 20 minimum pieces that is great enough to get me promoting myself around Toronto. It’s hard to get enough good pieces that I feel is worth promoting around. sigh…

... and I still have to figure out how I can build a bloody website!!! So many things in my head right now, lol

Recently, I was able to finish a series of illustrations in which I have been working on for some time now. One of the pieces I made was this one based on my childhood experiances. As a child, I was obsessed with dinosaurs that I eventually ended up drawing them as a hobby, which later made drawing as a whole my new childhood pastime. This particular image is part of my three-piece series “Child’s Play”, which will be posted up on my blog in the days to come.

Finally got the time to add new stuff to my personal illustration blog. More stuff coming in a few weeks :)

... as an added thought to myself, I’ve concluded that I’m illustrating too slow, or perhaps illustrating too much in a less given time thus slowing down my progress for this goal … I guess it’s ok to take the time to ‘perfect’ an image, but I’m sorta behind on my desired amount of work for this year.

... so to start off the winter season, I decided to create a promotional winter poster. Enjoy! :)

... with so much work for the past two weeks, that lately I’ve been juggling through at least three illustration projects a week! However, I haven’t finished anything yet and the progress on my work has been rather slow. I predict that I might have at least two of them done by next week, with a third in a phase into completion. I’m behind one project thesis by two illustrations, and behind a week on that personal piece I’ve been editing for the past three weeks. So, in other words, the total of illustration projects range about 5-6 projects to finish at the end of this semester, along with three separate icons to design. Going slow, but trying my best to complete “good” work in which I’m happy with…

Ok, since I have a lot of things to do, I decided to write them all out so I can sort my head out and that whenever I go back here, it serves me as a personal reminder:

1) -Finish two pieces based on my memories, and finish three more roughs for Wednesday-

2) -Work on the “Femme Fatale” project-, -but REALLY work on this for portfolio purposes and NOT just some exercise-

3) -Finish my “personal” project in two weeks, revisiting an old image for something “cool” to do (make this an “every week” thing for this goal)-

4) -Think of something for Graphic Design for the “TIFF” assignment due Friday- -(but meet-up for professor approval on Monday)-

5) -Think of a neat way to promote myself for Business Class on Week 11-

Sounds like an overwhelming amount of stuff. Let’s begin…

... it’s more so an assignment than a “personal” piece. I spent my entire thanksgiving weekend working on this short narrative assignment that DROVE me CRAZY… and that I had to rush all the pages so I can get it completed on time… sorta sucked the enjoyment out of it since I didn’t really took the time to savour it. Well, I guess it still counts as progress…

... anyways, on a more positive note, I have some ideas for the christmas season, so if I can clear out all my school work out of the way, I can get that started. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do, but never had the time nor resources to do it…
