rayos67 is working...
Anyways I had a goal after wrestling season my sophomore year to be a 2x New Mexico state wrestling champion. There was a few problems with that though, I was a sophomore who placed sixth and there was a few people who had not graduated yet who were able to beat me (pretty easily). I got more motivated than I ever have been and me and my coach made a goal for me to be a State Champ my junior year. So I started working my butt off in every way possible! I went to camps that summer in Pennsylvania and Oklahoma, traveled to Fargo, North Dakota to wrestle and I did so much more. That was the summer when God was working on my heart drawing me near to him little by little. Anyways I trained and lifted weights and wrestled some on my free time, after practice I would stay and practice some more with my coach and another wrestler. I remember towards the end right before state doubting myself but then deciding to give it all that I had besides nobody had worked as hard as me. Nobody thought that I was able to win besides maybe my coach but when the time came somehow I WON! and became a New Mexico State Wrestling Champ at the age of 16. It was a big accomplishment for me because at one time I was the middle schooler who could not win a match. I sucked. It showed me that I could accomplish more than I think if I would just put my mind to it and work my butt off… If you want me to go more in depth with my state championship match let me know, it was a crazy match.
