accentuate the positive

too early for a weekend this morning I took advantage of the beautiful weather, before it got beastly hot again.

So I went to a bakery, got some goodies, came back home, sat on my balcony and had pastries and milk coffee, put on some tunes and read my book.

Ahh… that was really nice.

After days and days of rain, it got nice enough for me to be on my balcony tonight and I had a wonderful view of pretty clouds when the light was almost gone. Very soothing.

It had been a while since I took the time to watch a movie. Since I had been thinking of vacations these past few days I decided to rewatch L’auberge espagnole.

What a quirky, fun movie :) Very enjoyable.

On this rainy day I drove to a little store which sells Spanish foods. I had found this while looking online the other day.

And so I bought many yummy things that remind me of hot summer days while being on vacation :)

Going to work today, my foot slowly started to ache more and more. I finally decided to turn around and go back home.

So why is this under “accentuate the positive” ? Because it’s times like these that I’m glad that I’m self-employed and don’t have to deal with the bureaucracy if want to stay home for a day or two.

(or early depending on your viewpoint)...

Just got back, from getting-together with friends, for talk, food and games.

I’m currently in that space between having had a good time and collapsing from lack of sleep :)

With the continuing good weather I decided to go to the zoo yesterday. I really enjoyed that change of pace and had a good time. Also I got a lot of walking done while there.

I had today, I was reminded of when I fainted for the first time ever, in my bathroom, back in December 2006.

For me this was a very scary experience, but it has been a one-time thing.

So, I’m happy it hasn’t happened again since :)

Today at the bakery: The person in front of me is asking for something. The reply is that they don’t have any more of these today.

So the person points at something and says: “Okay, give me one of those snail-shaped ones please.”

The person behind the counter looks and sounds very offended and says: “That’s a little rabbit !”

ROFL, this was so funny :)

I’m glad I took a few photos while walking in the sun: Since the weather has taken a worse turn again, it feels good to look at them and dream :)
