accentuate the positive

I’m just falling in love with an old album again. Hounds of Love by Kate Bush. From 1985 already, sure doesn’t feel that way. Most of the songs have lost nothing of their strength. I especially love the Jig of Life / Hello Earth duo of songs. Good good stuff.

Unexpected smile !

Today the Printen, these wonderful spicy gingerbreads, from Aachen arrived. What a treat, mmmm :)

While I was just out shopping I saw that my store had trial size packages of Spanish and Italian cheeses each. I’m looking forward to comparing and enjoying them :) I could happily live on cheese alone <g>.

too early for a weekend this morning I took advantage of the beautiful weather, before it got beastly hot again.

So I went to a bakery, got some goodies, came back home, sat on my balcony and had pastries and milk coffee, put on some tunes and read my book.

Ahh… that was really nice.

After days and days of rain, it got nice enough for me to be on my balcony tonight and I had a wonderful view of pretty clouds when the light was almost gone. Very soothing.

It had been a while since I took the time to watch a movie. Since I had been thinking of vacations these past few days I decided to rewatch L’auberge espagnole.

What a quirky, fun movie :) Very enjoyable.

On this rainy day I drove to a little store which sells Spanish foods. I had found this while looking online the other day.

And so I bought many yummy things that remind me of hot summer days while being on vacation :)

Going to work today, my foot slowly started to ache more and more. I finally decided to turn around and go back home.

So why is this under “accentuate the positive” ? Because it’s times like these that I’m glad that I’m self-employed and don’t have to deal with the bureaucracy if want to stay home for a day or two.

(or early depending on your viewpoint)...

Just got back, from getting-together with friends, for talk, food and games.

I’m currently in that space between having had a good time and collapsing from lack of sleep :)
