do something fun everyday

today I took off (planned, but last min. timing) for Feast of the Hunters Moon with the kids (hubby decided to come along last min – yeah!) There were only a couple hours left and still had to pay$$ but just before the gate a guy approached us – his friends didn’t show and he had extra tickets he sold to us discount so we saved 10$. (a sign! i mentioned so to ever money conscious hubby not enthused we’re going for only last 2 hrs and paying X$$ for no battle scenes etc.)
i DIDNT take the camera – cause I just wanted to enjoy my kids and being there and just being alive. (hubby did though. have to admit twas a good thing- he got some good drawing reference shots for me)
we did get to see two extremely charming, very handsome, theatrically talented (young) jugglers… heard the bands and saw the ending ceremonies procession, boys got wooden swords, girl got walking stick, I bought dried plants, sat on the serene river bank… all this for approx 80$ in 2hrs (not counting gas – 40min drive I think) which for us, is actually a lot of money.
BUT~ we got out of house and under the SUN, and had family fun :) and then we were all so grouchy & exhausted when we got home that everyone went to bed early. (the kids play was day before after a weeks long practices so we were already tired before we went)
twas good.

I don’t mean ecstatic joy – just fun – something that I can remember and smile at the end of each day. But perhaps
I’ll start tomorrow.
