    Jogging on course 1 month ago

    Went for a long jog to the ‘glade’ on the Carso this morning. Maybe 5k. Took 32 minutes. Am tracing the same route we took by bike on Sunday – that way I know how far I still have to go (+4k) before I can sit down and order lunch at the trattoria in Grapado. That’s motivation.

    Next time I’m going to aim for the car park (where those cyclists stopped us and asked if Stef had his wheel on back to front.

    When I get home after jogging, I have to sit down and sweat. Never seen anything like it. Is this healthy???

    Two excellent runs this week! Preparing for a 5k next weekend. It won’t be my best time, but at least I can say I’ve done a 5k!

    This week I only got in one good run. Eh. I did exercise other days, but it was indoors on the exercise bike. Partly to blame on the rain, mostly to blame on my lack of determination. I am training to improve my running…so I need to get out there and run! Duh.

    Started out a little slow/tired, but I still managed to get in 3 decent runs this week! It helps that the weather is getting gorgeous!

    So far I have run three times this week! Yes! We’re getting back on track and feeling great already! Dreaming of another half marathon later in the year???

    Hurt my knee in the spring – rested over the summer, gave it a chance to heal – still hurt. I think it is time for an MRI

    One more run to go, then to start next week!

    I’ve been using a treadmill to run about an hour a session, as it might be a little too cool and slippery outside for awhile.

    I want to do something good for me and lose weight. So, yes. I’d like to run for about 10 minutes a day and build up to 20 then 30.



    I've done it before... 15 months ago

    I used to run 3x a week, I did it for 6 months and lost a bunch of weight and felt AWESOME! Then I got lazy and gained all the weight back.

    I am ready to do it again and stick with it this time!

    I give up on this goal and will concentrate on swimming, biking and something like tai-chi/ yoga (still not decided on that one).
