How I did it: My hometown has a festival every year called the Dogwood Festival. I heard that they were offering helicopter rides that day, so I made sure to get in line. My grandmother and I rode in the helicopter and saw the whole town from the air. Lessons & tips: If you hear that rides are being offered, go for it! |

How I did it: I was at a small air show where helicopter rides were offered. Since literally hundreds of people signed up to do it, we ended up waiting about an hour and then gave up. So the next air show I went to that offered it, I signed up my son and I as soon as we got there. It was for only about 15 minutes in the air, but now I'm hooked and would do it again and again. I went to Sea World on the Gold Coast (Australia) and took a 5 minute scenic flight around the park. It only cost me about $48 and it was AMAZING!! Well worth it, such a good deal.

It was a blast. Probably not so much fun if you’re afraid of heights or subject to motion sickness, but I’m neither and had a great time.

When I was I don’t know, 4 or 5, I went on a helicopter ride with my Dad. Apparantly, since I can’t quite remember, the pilot asked how we were all doing and we all replied, and almost right after he dropped the helicopter STRAIGHT down and stopped inches above a river. I guess I peed my pants from the scare. LOL.
