clean and sort my lego

I had a lot of LEGO since young. I’ve a strong belief that playing with LEGO has helped me somewhat “mentally” and be more creative. Seriously, LEGO should be part of every kid’s childhood!

On the other hand I regret not maintaining my box of bricks when I was young. Bricks have gathered dust, white bricks have become YELLOW (ugh!) and they are REALLY mixed.

So I would like to begin sorting them out according to heads and doors and blah blah, so I can add another accomplishment to my inner Captain Organised and also make things easier to find.

I remember searching boxes like crazy for funny things.

BTW does anybody have any tips for cleaning LEGO? Any help would be hot.
