I just had lunch with a friend of mine, currently living in the US. He was with his new American boyfriend, who after half an hour or so asked me: “How long have you been living in Italy? You seem to speak a very good Italian”. It will take a geologic era to deflate my ego.

Even those of us that have it as a first language don’t always do it Perfectly! There is a vast difference between American English and THe Queen’s English of the United Kingdom,Never be afraid to use what you have. Anything that Gives new skills is well worth doing.If your entries are anything to go by you have it mastered as well as most of us!

I was expecting tons of comments like: “No, really, you should label this goal as accomplished!” and yadda yadda yadda :P

OK, just kidding. It’s that I’d really love to master every tiny nuance of the language.
