Emma is SO close to home free!

Sigh. This was due today, but I didn’t manage to complete the last 50 pages. so sad. I REALLY like this book, I just haven’t had enough time to read it as of late! So now I have to wait until my english teacher is finished grading our annotations to get my book back and read the conclusion. Sadness.

Annotating really makes reading slower. I really have read up to page 500-something, but I haven’t annotated anything between, so I have to go back and do that… GAR, one reason that I hate AP English.

I finished it, but did NOT like it. Maybe the abridged version is better, but I’m not going to find out in my lifetime.

I believe that every book has its time. I began reading Anna Karenina a year ago and couldn’t get through the third chapter. Then I just picked it up one day and read it all the way through, I barely stopped to sleep, eat , and work.

one of the best books EVER! 2 years ago

Anna Karenina requires a lot of patience to get started, but once it begins to build, the momentum and and plot are phenomenal! You won’t be able to put down. One of the greatest novels in the history of literature…

I wanted to read this before my 18th birthday (in 2005), but sadly gave up after a chapter and half, and the book was lost when we moved house. I just found it (it’s a lovely leather and gold-bound edition), so I thought it was about time I gave it another go.

I’m further than I’ve been before. I’m somewhere around page 150.

How many years? 4 years ago

I started reading this book 6 years ago and I know it’s a long book, but umm not 6 years worth of reading. Every time I went to pick it up again I could never find the same translation and I just got interested in other books and gave it up. I wonder if I should bother. Everyone knows the ending already anyway.
