As soon as I can aford it I totally am going to, it’d be so cool!
I’d call it Ruddiger the Super Happy Fun Tortoise, and it’d make him feel special [sort of]

ive just being researching the rules and stuff of owning a tortoise or a turtle and it turns out that WA is the only state in australia where your not allowed to keep a turtle as a pet. its so not fair :(
One day I’d like to get one of those very long-living ones, such as 150-250 years. I want my great-great-great-grandchildren to meet this guy.
I got a leopard tortoise for my 12th birthday from my dad. It was very fun to ahve her but quite expensive to keep as she needed a heat lamp but she was good because leopard tortoises dont hibernate and lots of normal torts die in hibernation. However because of the awful weather in England she couldnt have much time outside and was constantly taspping on her vivarium glass because she wanted to go intot he garden <3 so we found a tort rescue centre where leopard torts can be outside all the time because they have massive heat lamps to keep them warm. Im going to visit her soon and see how bif she had grown!! Also she now is with others of her own kind which is nice for her. It was very sad to let her go but i wanted her to be happy. :( :)
i realy want to get a tourtise, not for me but for my mum she has wanted one for ages now and her 40th is approaching, where can i find a cheapish, good lookin animal ,lol
I have a male female pair of Russian Tortoises and an African Hingeback Tortoise, which make great pets. They are real easy to care for as you only have to feed them and clean their cage every other week. Of course they always enjoy it when you take the time to walk them. Oh and by walking a tortoise I mean taking them out of their cage to either the yard or in cold weather the floor and watch them to ensure they don’t get into any trouble.
My kindergarten teacher hatched desert tortoises in our class, and somehow I got to keep two of them.
Sally died a few years ago, but Speedball is still alive and kicking at 25 years of age.
Tortoises are awesome pets. Mine just lives in the backyard and eates grass (and some veggies/fruit plates) and sleeps in her dog house. She also hibernates from Thanksgiving until Easter, which makes her the easiest pet to care for in the world for 4 months of the year.
I would love to breed her. Know any tortoise mates?
ive had 2 totoises for 5 years now and there really sweet.i really like having them but they hardly do anything.so i some times forget about having them but there my dads anyway.
if your gonna get 1 dont expect it to do much.o yea and even though they dont have teeth they can still bite so watch out cause it hurts :( but still i love them 2 bits and they are really nice, so if i turned bak time i would still get them.o yea and dont foget they hibornate through winter so they do nothing at all.
