call my girlfriends more often

The older I get the more I realize how much work it takes to keep any kind of a relationship going. What has suffered the most is my friendships with my girlfriends. When we were little we lived down the street from each other, had homeroom together and saw each other everyday. Even a little while ago we worked together or shared a fun community college class. Now that we’re all growing up our lives are really changing. We don’t all live down the street anymore, in fact we are starting to stretch clear across the country as we get married or go to school. It’s difficult to keep the connection. I realize that it is up to all of us to put in the effort to call and visit each other, but it is tough with all our different schedules. Bottom line, I need to make more phone calls.
