It’s 2.45am in Singapore now. Starting tomorrow, I’ll bring forward my sleeping time hour by hour daily. It’ll be just as hard as quitting coffee… with TV programmes and the Internet to distract me. But I need to do this…. otherwise I might not do well at work.

I always end up awake late at night trying to get all my work done for the next day.



Nepal 1 year ago

I’ve been living in Nepal for about three months now and because it’s totally a morning society, I’ve been going to bed much earlier. I’ve stayed up past midnight less than a dozen times in the past 3 months, which is incredibly because I don’t think I went to bed before midnight more than a dozen times in the past 2 years before Nepal (I was living in Spain, a very late night society).

I’m still going to bed too late, but too late here is any time after about 9:30. Almost the whole city is up before 6 AM! It’s crazy, I’m not a morning person at all.

...I do this. Not 100% of the time, but most of the time now. It helps that I have other goals contingent on it (such as exercising and getting up at a reasonable time).

I’ll re-add this to my list if I start slipping, though.

I’ve been doing this more often than not – I’m better about it during the week. Being busier with work and school has helped a lot. I still lose track of time sometimes, but on the whole I’m getting much better. The stretching routine is helping immensely so far! A huge improvement over reading or surfing the net for winding down in the evenings.
