step 1. buy orchid
step 2. buy book on caring for my orchid
So far so good. If I can keep her alive for a full year I’ll consider this goal accomplished.

None of the flowers made it. I think maybe there wasn’t enough light. Or maybe when it went chilly and dry that could have killed them. At least the leaves are still green, but it was sad to cut off all the flowers.
Delaney’s first flower has bloomed already! I’m so excited. My mom is excited too, haha!
I bought my first orchid today. It is a very small one, but I already love it. It has some buds, but no flowers yet. I have decided to name it Delaney. I will post a picture sometime soon!
hhahaha i gave up, threw the old one away and bought a new one! that was the best option. i found a great place A&P Orchids in Swansea MA check them out they are very very helpful!
my sister bought me an orchid last year, for my birthday, I think (july). I don’t remember how many blooms it started out with, but soon enough, it had none. my son was only one month old when I received the orchid, so I really expected that it would soon die of neglect. however, I persevered and watered the flowerless stem through the winter. yesterday, I noticed that it has 5 buds starting to bloom!!! whew.
well it is still green but no stems and no flowers, that is dissapointing. i think the next time i see one in full bloom at Costco i am going to buy it and see if i have better luck!
well whatever orchids I did have are all dead now so I guess this is a useless goal since I don’t have an orchid right now to keep alive.
maybe later.
