I’ve just found out that one of the connection flights from Poland I’ll be taking will be to Helsinki Vantaa, I’m so happy!
How to visit Finland
It made me 
"FANTASTIC!"
How I did it: I am an avid music lover, and there was so much good stuff coming out of Finland, I got the bug in my system to get there and see some of the bands I was enjoying live, since most of them most likely will not be coming to the States anytime soon. Getting to actually go was pure serendipity -a case of being in the right place at the right time. I came into some unexpected money just in time to get a great deal on hotel and airfare to put me in Helsinki for one of the music festivals I had been hearing about through the internet and european friends.
Lessons & tips:
- Dont be afraid to try new things - especially the food.
- Engage people in conversation - most of them enjoy talking about their hometowns and giving you ideas for places off the beaten track to visit and explore.
- Take pictures - lots and lots of pictures.
- A friendly smile and mangled attempt at the local language goes a long way.

Love the culture, love the language, LOVE the music! There’s only one thing for it, I’m going to Finland! I mean, they’ve got a high gun suicide rate and lots and lots of fish, but it sounds like a pretty awesome place. I’ve started learning the language and I’m gonna find an English translation of the Kalevala for the heck of it then I’ll just pop over there and probably get eaten by a lake monster or something. :P

im fom finland and it seems really peaceful there and theres gorgeous scenery. i think it would be really cool.
