Learn a word a day

I hope i can

Today I’ve subscribed to dictionary.com’s word of the day via text message. Even on busy days I’ll be able to simply read the new word from my phone and commit it to memory without having to be by a computer.

Today’s word is: gadabout- one who roams about in search of amusement or social activity.

ive set up an email thingy

Title says it all. I have a problem with open ended goals because I like to be able to check things off. So I will set a time limit for this one – 6 months of learning a new word a day will mark this goal complete. Theoretically the life-long habit will be formed by then. To do this I have signed up with Merriam Webster’s Word of the Day email list. Will update as needed…:0)

i’ve been trying to do this by receiving emails from dictionary.com every day with new words.

i always look at the word a day but never really try to learn them

so, i spend HOURS in the library, right?
and there’s TONS of dictionarys there, oui?
and every time i flip one open to a random page, i’m met with a scientific word.
science rules.
that is all.
