Hike to the Chris McCandless Bus

i’m currently planning this trip to the stampede trail too, to see and spend some time at the bus as he was definately inspiring and has changed my life , i live in Australia so this is pretty BIG for me but maybe i too can come across someone to do it with hopefully but if not i will play it by ear and do my reaserch, good on ya and your wife for wanting to do this, i bet it will be a life changing experience

my wife and i have made plans to first see salvation mountian.then fly to alaska and bus to haily alaska or hanly not sure.ithe bus is only 20 miles or so from that town.my plans are to find a guide,rent 4 wheelers and just go

I’ve always wanted to retrace all his steps, but that’s probably not realistic. Seeing the bus would be life changing.

I want to do this terribly. It would be a long and expensive trip if you do it right (with guides), a long and dangerous trip if you don’t. I can’t believe there is only one other person who wants to do this.
