Do something new every month

Not sure if this counts, but today I let a member at work buy me a drink and sat down with them after my shift. It actually felt nice, like I “belonged” to their group now. I normally don’t let anyone buy me a drink… so that was also different.

to make a difference.

I think I have to challenge myself a bit more with future new things. These weren’t as adventurous, didn’t call on my to step out of my comfort zone as much as some previous new things, which is really my goal in setting this goal.
August
I went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
I also went to j’ouvert, a middle of the night parade that kicks off Brooklyn’s West Indian American Day Carnival Parade.
September
I took a drawing class on a boat as part of the Big Draw.

Today at work, we were shortstaffed, so I got to park our golf carts! I’ve never ridden one before! So that was fun!

Went skydiving this month, September, as well as rode in a pace car around the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Finally ate a cheesesteak IN Philly. Also did some sight-seeing (I’ve been to Philadelphia before, but it was before they opened the new visitor center).

For years I have seen ,you enter the bill imformation on their site and find out where it has traveled. I see them… Put them in my billfold and travel on spending them on the way. Well one finally made it home and I was able to enter it in, South Dakota to Iowa,not far I know but hey maybe the next one (around the world???). Well it was something new to me :)

I’m going to be helping with my friend’s Bridal Shower this Sunday… so that includes MCing. Well helping with that anyway.

I can’t remember if it was this month or last, but I boosted someone’s car at work! It was a male customer who couldn’t find any other men to boost his car! He said “of course, none of the men I ask could help me, but the first female I ask could!”. Made me feel good :D

(I know, it’s only the beginning of the month, but I’ll come back to edit any others in nearer the end!)

Visited my partner at his university house. It was a wonderful weekend, but I felt so sad coming home again.

Edited to add: Succesfully cooked roast chicken for 5 people (I say successfully as I have done this before, but it didn’t turn out that well)

AND stayed at university! Second time round, so far so good. The work is hard though… (should be doing some now really)

Went to Turkey. Wish I had more time there because there’s so much to see in that country.
