I’ve recntly been trying massage therapy for my migraines. I’ve tried deep-tissue massage and reflexology, both recommended to me by a massage fanatic freind of my son’s. I bookmarked the site http://www.medopedia.com/migraine-massage because it’s a good quick overview of the subject.
I used to think I was eating healthy b/c I ate low-cal, low-fat, etc. but I was getting headaches from eating processed foods. It was that simple.
Any un-natural foods are likely to be triggers. So are some natural foods, but you will have to do elimination tests to see which ones affect you personally

sometimes my migraines will last for 3 days. In my case, there are several triggers which includes menstrual period, hot sun/heat, late lunch, empty stomahc, travelling. sometimes they come for no reason at all – and just stay for a few hours/days. i’ve popped almost every kinda pill. nothing works. nobody else in my family has it (except my granma – maybe i got it from her). arrgghh…my head hurts so bad.
Even though I refuse to accept that migraines are something I will always have to live with, it really is just another day. Perhaps someone out there will read this and maybe even understand what a migraine can do to you and find a cure. And trust me I don’t just “let it” become a migraine it just happens to the head on top of this body.
I have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of migraines. Sleep, induced anesthesia for surgery and Stadol Nasal Spray seem to be the only things I know that cure one.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS A REMEDY PLEASE EMAIL ME.
This is my journaling and something my husband (God bless him) will never locate to read, not unless he gets a migraine and that’s be blanking hilarious to me. No, my husband does not get headaches. If he did, it would not faze him, not even the type I get. So I can’t expect him to even have empathy for me. I try not to complain. Coz if knew he’d do anything in the world to make me feel better. Calls me his Queen.
He is a Vietnam vet, 100% legally blind, thanks to one of many of agent orange’s many diseases, diabetes. So, to me, he’s dne enough. He went thru 5 yrs of dialysis, he lost a kidney and three ribs to cancer, had his gall bladder blow up, had a pancreas and kidney transplant 01/2004 and Praise God it took and he is still my shining armor.
Guess that makes a migraine a day seem like stubbing my toe compared to what he’s been through, even before the diseases came on. We just met 11-2003, offered him my kidney in 1-04, and his dr said no, he had to have a pancreas too. So I had to say sorry, need mine. We laughed about it. Then a few hours later they “called”. Come for the surgery. Now, there is nothing is this world like a phone call telling you to come get new organs that could save your life, but I felt the emotions he must’ve been feeling and we cried all the way, thanking God and Jesus all the way to the hospital. And thank God it was not a dry run, where they tell you it didn’t make it (the other organ) or whatever and you have to go back home. It’s like you’re off to have a baby or something, maybe it’s your friend or boyfriend or sister or parent or your spouse. Anyways, he made it through it all and he’s alive and today, greater than ever. We married 1-2005. Vietnam will never take him, he is mine and the Lord’s. He has strong limitations of vision in right eye that is do to the diabetes. What a cruel disease. I can go on and on.
Well that’s all I feel like typing today. Someone tell me to shut up. Ha. My migraines are so bad I have to take stadol nasal spray. That’s why I am typing under the influence. TUI, ha, not Driving under, but typing under it. I find laughter whenever I can at this age of my life.
I’ve had migraines since 1994. They were brought on by a car accident. I have tried everything to stop them. I’ve been to six different doctors…four of which were neurologist/headache/pain specialists.
Currently, I keep an online headache journal which is kind of a headache blog. It tracks my headaches / meds / dr appts / etc.

I want to start relaxing in moments with high stress, stop consuming overly sweet foods/drinks, regulate my caffeine, etc…I’ve had headaches/migraines since I was eight years old…twenty years is enough.
