Working very hard with a progressive career up to senior positions, having excellent financial management skills and a little luck with investments meant I retired as a multi-millionaire in my mid-thirties. It was a tremendous effort and now I have the time to devote to my family and do the things I love such as travel, racing my sports cars and acquiring more life skills plus experiences.

with only 2 years to go before 40 I am planning to take a year off to chill, spend time with family, go camping regularly, go fishing regulary and think about stuff I might want to do in the next 40 years.
I’m sure I will meet ‘like minded people’, get inspiration and focus on the important things
I always thought that going hard and retiring young is the way to go. Not so sure anymore…
Instead of retiring, I changed my job to something that aligns better with my ideals and now I’m having fun working and I have more felxibility and time for my family.
So I’m not sure if its that important to retire. Better to reach that epoch where you switch from being a prisoner of your job to a self fulfilling human being.
Switch from their terms to your terms. My new definition of retirement.
Got to retire at 40. Actually, to stop working for anybody. Gotta start my own business which will just keep me busy.
Consultation or a restaurant? Time will tell.
This is really something to think about 40 is an age when I can still do things I want to do and not 65 when I am old and cranky. So I have about a decade to achieve this goal. Which I think will involve financial success which enable me to have time to do what I want when I want. Basically true freedom of not ever need to work and have passive income. this can be done by investment in properties, business and so on… I am still figuring this out. I have this target in my goal ‘don’t have to work for a job because I don’t need to’. So lets share this journey together. A thousand miles start with a single steps.. Lets go.
