(used to be Bootleggers). Interesting that it’s located in Comfort Inn, but it was a nice place, regardless. And again, IPA was the going beer for me. It’s nice to taste the difference between the IPAs of so many brewpubs.

at the Norwich Inn was great. Not only was I able to drink great beer, but I had the best crab cakes I’ve ever eaten. And afterwards I was able to walk out of the Inn with a bottle of Whistling Pig Red Ale that is only available at the Inn.

I think I’m going back this weekend. Why not…

What a place! I loved how the bar was shadowed by the massive stainless steel beer tapping tanks. And the nutty stout there was so pungent I could smell it coming. Wah!

Lake Placid Pub & Brewery 3 weeks ago

Their IPA is nearly the best I’ve ever had. It’s IBU (international bitterness units) is 64 which is exactly what I’m looking for in an IPA.

However, this pub assumes a tip. There’s nothing about gratuity in the menu and the waitress assumed that I didn’t want change back. Don’t get me wrong, I planned on leaving a tip if the service and the food/beverages are good, but it shouldn’t be assumed. Thumbs down for that.

Definitely a first class brewpub – no question there. I enjoyed an excellent BLT and a couple of their finest brews.

It was really a cozy place, with Olympic memorabilia and a rustic framework. And it’s Lake Placid…

Had a couple tonight there and enjoyed a Fire Engine Red and an IPA. The IPA was excellent. Gotta have my hops, ya know.

at 34th St. & 5th Ave. was a quick stop for me, but well worth it. However, their prices are about double what beer is elsewhere. That’s NYC for ya.

in Burlington I’d like to hit today. Don’t know if it’s gonna happen, though. I’d like to drag my girl along. I’ll coax her into going by saying we’ll stop at Barnes & Noble on the way back. :)
