and I’ve kinda wanted to do this one for a while, just to say that I’d done it. Our nosebleed tickets were pretty reasonable, although it was pretty vertiginous up there and I felt like I actually spent most of the game watching people try to get by us on the little path between our section and the next. We did see one great catch that could have been a homer, and we had a good view of the ball really arcing over and up. By the 6th inning, people with kids were taking off so we decided to at least go for a walk and see other parts of the stadium. One set of stairs down and you could actually see the people do things, rather than just watching stick figures run around the field.
The new Yankee stadium is going up right next door. It’s a little weird to see both of them together, and I wonder if it’ll be weird for the fans to watch one go down when the other is done. There were also several messages reminding people not to take things home with them—stealing is a crime! We left before the 7th inning got under way, but apparently no one scored after then anyway.
