OnaLark is thinkin' and taking it easy.
My parents were set up by a mutual friend and first started communicating by writing letters to each other. These days with my cell phone and computer, I am literally seconds away from getting in touch with someone. In cases of emergency, this is certainly handy, but what ever happened to thinking of someone and sending a letter? This is something that I think would be fun and would hopefully surprise people and make them happy.

Carm wishes everyone a safe and fun Fourth
family members whose only form of communication would be letters. One is my nephew in prison (phone calls are costly). Another is my deaf brother in a nursing home. He is completely deaf and cannot use a phone. I really need to start writing to them and to some others. Everybody loves getting a letter!

kepi stole the cookie from the coo-coo-kie jar
I went down to the post office to send today’s letter and sent it Express Post. Next week I think I will pop it into outgoing company mail …

My best mate has just moved to WA so I’ve sent two so far and not finding it difficult at all. I would like to try for sending on a fortnightly basis for three months before I mark as done.

I have written to my grandmother and will write to four people from my list today.
I’ve actually sent 13 letters in the 3 months since I started this goal. That’s an average of one each week, good enough for me to call this one done.

I’ve written one a month since the start of the year, though not yet this month, but I’m happy that I’ve done this much so far…

I have written to Rachel again, and at last to B, who I haven’t been in touch with since before I went to America. Gosh.
Need to write to; Sarah (bday presents), the Queen, Judith Kerr, my grandmother, Michael and Sara (stamps) and KTSG in Mexico.
I’m not sure this goal will ever end, I keep adding people to my list!

I sent a letter to M to, I don’t know, attempt a reconciliation, explain my position, reassure I am still alive, that positive things have come of this affair, not sure. I got H to read it last night to check I don’t come across as a crazy woman, she said it was beautiful so hopefully it will be well received.
However, I might be crazy in that I also sent a birthday present to his gf, I noticed on fb it is her birthday in a couple of days so I got her a volume of poetry we had been discussing, and some love-hearts. I sent it to her care of him even though they don’t live together as I want it to be a surprise (rather than asking her for her address) but I am slightly worried that he will wonder what on earth I am up to as he won’t know it’s a birthday present. But it will become clear to all involved that I am just a nice person. Lol!
I still need to write to Sarah (bday presents), the Queen, Judith Kerr, B, Rachel and my grandmother.

Part of my problem with accomplishing this is that I don’t have anyone to write TO. So if anyone’s interested in becoming penpals, just let me know.:)

lolatide is getting the Easy Bake Oven ready for some cooking madness
After making my list a few weeks ago i decided to send off a little letter right away to my grandmother. I wrote a very nice little message about how much I loved to visit her and eat her homemade rice krispy treats when I was little; and I drew some silly little drawings.
My grandmother just passed away last week and it was a tiny little comfort to know that I had sent her a card just recently.
I would encourage everyone to think about someone who is lonely in your life and send them a little message.
