go outside more often

I went out to the playground in town yesterday with Dan and one of my best friends, Jenn, who also happens to be Dan’s girlfriend(I knew her first! Hah!). We hung out, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and I started my paper journal. ‘Twas extra nice.

but it’s starting to get hot so i don’t know how often i’ll be getting out. anyways, i’m going to consider this done because i’ve been outside enough lately to remind myself that it’s a nice place to be.

i was at my grandma’s house and we were outside for about 5 hours i guess. everyone was doing yard work or something, but my sister and i just kind of sat and also walked around the block because we’re lazy bums. we would’ve walked to the creek except that it was getting pretty cold out. if i’d had a camera i would’ve gone anyway to take pictures. i miss that creek.

i actually went outside!!! haha, this is an acomplishment? :) yes. i sat outside for an hour or so with my mom and sister, just hanging out. it was really nice (except for a few minutes when one of the neighbor kids came outside to smoke a cigarette and play with fireworks…) and we stayed until it started getting dark and sort of cold. other than that it was lovely.

for some reason, winter here decided to end in december. so now it’s just nice outside. it’s not hot yet, and it’s been pretty windy lately. i hardly ever go outside anymore. to tell you the truth, i didn’t leave the house today, and i only went outside twice. once for about a minute to see the lawn gnome my mom bought (it’s awesome by the way) and then once again for about a minute to figure out what my boyfriend was doing in the driveway.

i shouldn’t be wasting this wonderful weather. before you know it summer will come and i’ll be hiding from it inside. i need to go for more walks and have more picnics.
