He is my favorite author!!

If he ever comes to New Zealand 2 years ago

He’s written two books that really struck a nerve in me, Choke and Invisable monsters. Plus of corse Fightclub. Currently reading dairy and managed to get my friend who’s read nothing but TV guides and newspaper want ads since high school, to start reading novels again.

Chuck my man 2 years ago

the man is a nut case. he has to be. but I think thats what intrigues me most. as a writer he takes you where most people are araid to go. that uncomfortable place in your mind where even you run from your own shadow.
I’ve read every book and Im excited about his next one.
I cant wait to meet him.

He came to Chicago two summers ago for a reading of “guts” and a signing afterwards. He is so real. He gave out packets of forget-me-nots seeds, who does that?? =)

GREAT Guy! 3 years ago

Chuck Palahniuk has to be one of my favourite people ever. He is completely friendly, and will stay hours after a reading until everyone has all their books signed. He also takes a few minutes to chat with each person, no matter how long the line is!

Worth driving a few hours to see him read… make SURE you do this at least once in your life! I’ve gone a few times now, and it’s never the same. When he used to read Guts, people would pass out. I was at one of the only readings of Exodus and people were in tears.

He gives out toys and neat trinkets at his readings, too! Great way to remember the fun that you had.

I’m going to see him read with Douglas Coupland in a couple weeks. :)
