or something like that.

I’ve been so focused on art cards and journaling that I’ve completely forgotten all my nursing stuff.

I know they are intended for trade, but I’ve been selling a few on ebay and etsy. That’s against the rules, but I’m still trying to pay down the credit card debt from when I stopped working in July, and disability didn’t kick in until November (and I was using the credit cards…a LOT)

I’m thinking of starting a special series and raising funds for Jennifer (The lady that doesn’t even know me, but she works with my sister-in-law and read my blog, and is walking the 3-day breast cancer walk dedicating it to me…how awesome is that?)

If any of you would like to kick in a dollar or two to her fund, here is the link to it. (shameless plug…it all goes to breast cancer research funds) You don’t have to do it online, if you don’t like the idea…you can print a form and send a check to the Komen foundation directly with her name on it, so they know it’s toward her fund.

I hope I’m forgiven for shamelessly asking for donations. This woman doesn’t even know me, and it’s awesome that she’d do this in my honor. The least I could do is hit people up for money, even a buck, to help her raise funds.

If anyone has any ideas how I could raise funds for her, let me know—I’m thinking of setting up some ebay thing where all the proceeds go to her fund, or something…or just finding out who donated and sending them a card…still thinking about it.

My last canvas was 8 feet by 8 feet.
I’m digging the small thing.
Limiting myself to 2.5” by 3.5” is HARD.

Not as fulfilling as I had hoped 21 months ago

I had hoped that by making very small pieces of art, I would develop the courage and skills to make larger pieces. I was pleased with the pieces I made and then I attended a swap where I gave away my one-of-a-kind pieces for art for many things that felt almost store-bought. People had just stamped or cut things from magazines so in exchange for pieces I loved, I got things I did not like in return. I did get two or three pieces I really liked but overall I felt cheated. I know it makes me sound shallow and ungrateful but I have not made a trading card since then.

not important anymore for me 2 years ago

I found some other things more interesting, maybe I come back on it…trading idea seems too complicated at the moment
