How to go to one of the places on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives by Trashcan Fashionista

"Good food, good people and a great atmosphere."

How I did it: I drove to Philadelphia to visit my sister.  My fiance and her fiance came along.  We ordered food from the menu, embarrassed my sister by taking photos of it and then bought t-shirts!  We had a great time.

Lessons & tips: Go to a restaurant where you know that you'll like the menu.  Go online ahead of time and plan your order. A lot of the 'specialties' featured on the show had been taken off the menu.

    On Route 3, about 11 miles west of the Empire State Building. Made famous by Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, the Tick Tock Diner is famous for their cheese fries with gravy which the locals call “Disco Fries.”

    We went to Silk City in Philadelphia! The food was pretty good. I had the garlic-crusted mac and cheese with a grilled cheese/tomato sandwich and fries. Their fries were sooo good!! :)

    My boyfriend and I love this show. We always want to go to one of the places and it shouldn’t be too hard since we live close to Baltimore and Philadelphia. Now, we only have to chose which diner to go to first!
